    MAS acts to extend check-in deadline

    Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia Airlines extended its passenger check-in time Tuesday evening, in the light of the heavy traffic congestion throughout the city caused by panic buying among motorists to get their tanks filled. A check by Daily Express on the situation at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport revealed that the national airline had adapted the measure to try and give extra time for its customers who may be delayed by the traffic situation to reach the counters. Normally, passengers would have to check-in 45 minutes before flight time, but the airline decided to allow passengers to check-in as late as 20 minutes before the scheduled flight time.
