At low tide, an island formed by millions of coral is visible in the middle of the sea near Malubang village, Pitas, 100km away from Kota Marudu. Situated within the Tun Mustapha Marine Park, visitors are able to walk on this 1km-long floating coral bar during low tide, surrounded by shallow-water corals and crystal clear water.
Spend fun filled activities such as paddling around in a see-through glass kayak, snorkel in the crystal clear water with amazingly colourful corals or just relax and get a perfect tan on a floating carpet. Lunch is included for visitors taking tour packages to this coral bar.
Another alternative way to reach this floating coral bar is via a 45-minutes speed boat ride from Kudat Marina Jetty.
