BORNEE BIRD FESTIVAL
Calling all birders. The Borneo Bird Festival celebrates the feathered beauties of Borneo, creating public awareness in conservation efforts while promoting birdwatching and eco-tourism activities. There is a total of about 688 resident and migratory bird species which have been recorded in Borneo, 60 of which are endemic such as the Bornean Bristlehead, Bornean Falconet and Black-crowned pitta. There will be guided birding walk, bird talks, photography contests, workshops, booth exhibitions, various children’s activities and many more different activities that will definitely benefit you and your family!

TAMU BESAR KOTA BELUD

If you’re into culture, then Tamu Besar Kota Belud is definitely a must-attend. It is the biggest traditional open-air market held in Sabah.
The main highlights of this event include a buffalo race, the crowning of the Sarimpak Beauty Queen and the colorful parade of horses and Bajau horsemen – known as the ‘Cowboys of the East’. A definite burst of culture!

TANJUNG ARU BEACH FESTIVAL
26 – 27 OCTOBER
Organised by Sri Pelancongan Sabah Sdn Bhd, this trash-free event aims to create an awareness to the public in keeping our treasured beaches clean and to appreciate the amazing sunset view available all year-round. This is the second year for the festival to continue to promote a healthy lifestyle through outdoor sports and activities. Catch live performances by local singers and band, as well as indulge your taste buds at various delicious food trucks!

28TH BORNEO SAFARI INTERNATIONAL OFF-ROAD CHALLENGE
27 OCTOBER -3 NOVEMBER
Off-roading? The 28th Borneo Safari International Off-Road Challenge is also happening in October. The much anticipated annual eight-days event is one of the ultimately grueling yet exciting off-road challenges traversing the rugged terrains of Sabah.
