High-end travel publication Condé Nast Traveller partnered with Malaysia Airlines to hold an exclusive presentation on the Sabah destination at Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard London, last week.
Present at the event was the General Manager of Sabah Tourism Board (STB), Suzaini Datuk Sabdin Ghani who shared the potential of Sabah’s latest products to high-net-worth individuals that night. “We thank Malaysia Airlines and the Condé Nast group for arranging this wonderful presentation exclusively for Sabah. The State Government’s partnership signed during World Travel Mart London last year is bearing fruit,” Suzaini said.
Adventure athlete Sophie Radcliffe who spoke at the event said taking up the Kinabalu Challenge in 2008 made a lasting impression for her. Sophie mentioned in a tweet that Malaysia kicked off her journey with adventure and confidence-building challenges. Since then she has achieved a world’s first with the Alpine Coast-to-Coast Challenge covering eight mountainous counties in 32 days, with 1700km of cycling in between.
According to STB, more high profile media from the UK are expected to visit Sabah soon as a result of the Joint Partnership Campaign between Sabah Tourism Board with Malaysia Airlines.
