One-Off Grant To Sabah Hoteliers 2021
KOTA KINABALU, 3 May 2021: Initiated in March by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah through Sabah Tourism Board, Sabah hoteliers are able to apply for this one-off grant from the state government.
“To date, less than 200 hoteliers have applied and in Sabah, we should have more than 600 accommodation that are eligible to apply for this grant”, said Datuk Jafry Ariffin, Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister.
The One-Off Grant is divided into three categories, where 4 to 5 star hotels will receive one-off RM5,000, orchid to 3 star hotels RM2,000 and no rating hotels to bed and breakfast category will receive one-off RM1,000 upon approval.
The application for this grant is open until the end of May and forms are available on Sabah Tourism Board’s corporate website: tourism.sabah.gov.my.
“I urge all eligible hoteliers to take this opportunity to apply for this grant and I hope this will give some relief for the hotels here in Sabah”.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to remind public that while tourism is allowed within each Zone, please be responsible travellers and adhere to SOPs,” Jafry adds.
