Sipitang is located in the interior division of the West Coast of Sabah and also the closest town to Sarawak. Sipitang is also the home to the Gasing and Tamu Besar festival as the festival features many types of cultural events that promotes the indigenous group in Sipitang such as the Kedayan, Lundayeh/Lun Bawang, Murut and Brunei Malay.
