Labuan F.T

Labuan, a place dubbed the ‘garden island of Borneo’ is one of Asia’s best kept secrets. It is a place where old and new things intertwine to form a beautiful tapestry; it is where diverse cultures intermingle together harmoniously.
The surrounding coral reefs of Labuan provide a glimpse into the delicate yet fascinating marine ecosystem. The secluded beaches on nearby islands offer quiet solitude, for expert divers, the four shipwrecks promise the adrenaline rush.
Labuan’s rich history is reflected in its unique customs, monuments, and memorial parks. From five-star resorts to broadband telecommunications; Labuan is well equipped to host corporate meetings, incentive trips, conventions, as well as exhibitions. Its success as a progressive International Offshore Centre in Asia further boosts the Labuan’s appeal amongst the world’s rich and famous.
As a duty-free island, Labuan has the advantage of having special privileges and facilities—raw materials and components used in manufacturing can be brought in and exported free of duty taxes. Bargain hunters will find many great bargains, and potential investors will find Labuan a location of excellent business and investment opportunities.
The main economic activity on the island is oil and gas. Other fast growing sectors include banking and finance, tourism and education.
