Tadau Kaamatan (Harvest Festival)

Date : May 2007

Kaamatan is a public holiday unique to Sabah where the Kadazandusun communities offer thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. The festival is observed at district level before concluding at the State Level in Penampang. It is also the time the Harvest Queen or Unduk Ngadau is selected. This is the best time to witness and experience the fascinating Kadazandusun culture.
