‘Hajj’ the Fifth Pillar of Islam

The "hajj" is one of the five pillars of Islam. Every Muslim is encouraged to fulfill the ‘hajj' in Mecca although it is not compulsory. Attending ‘hajj' is considered to be one of the most important achievements for every Muslims. It is done once in a lifetime for the average Muslim, while others may do it a couple of times. To depict its importance and significance a special exhibition is showcased at the Sabah Islamic Civilisation Museum at the Sabah Museum Complex.
