Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House 2011 (2nd Syawal ~ the second day of Hari Raya) Date : 31 August 2011Experience the Malaysian way of celebrating festivities, 'open house' at this year's state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at the Likas Sports Complex, from 10am to 2pm, as we join the Muslims commemorate one of the most important holiday in the Islamic calendar. Hosted by the Chief Minister of Sabah and the State Cabinet Ministers, visitors will not only get to meet our top leaders and mingle with the locals, but will also be able to dig in on a scrumptious feast, as a variety of traditional Malay cuisine are being served such as beef rendang (slow-cooked in coconut milk and spices), ketupat (glutinous rice wrapped in woven palm leaves), best enjoyed with peanut sauce and curry-like dishes, and an assortment of kuih-muih you can't miss! |
