Chinese New Year Carnival

Date : 17 - 20 January 2012

It's that time of the year again when we join our Chinese family and friends usher in the Lunar New Year. In the city of Kota Kinabalu, where the Chinese makes up a big part of its multicultural society, the Lintasan Deasoka will be vibrantly lit with rows and rows of tanglung (Chinese lantern) during this four-day annual carnival.

A variety of stalls selling delectable foods, festive decorations, local handicrafts and other knick knacks will surely make visitors be spoilt for choice. And it won't be Chinese New Year without the lion dance and other colourful cultural shows such as the Fan Dance.
