Stand Up Paddle

Stand Up Paddling is one of the many other water sports activities you can attempt during their visit. With Head North Paddle, they offer the Sunrise, Sunset and Glow sessions. We had the opportunity to experience this activity, and it was something we enjoyed.

Do you need to be able to swim?

Not necessarily. You will be given a life jacket.

Are there weight restrictions?

Not at all! What you need is the ability to balance yourself on the paddle board. The maximum weight of the board is up to 240kg.

How about kids?

Kids can too! You can opt to have them tandem with you.

It was the first time for all of us, and while initially, we did have challenges with balancing ourselves and getting the hang of paddling (good arm workout and good tension for calves and tighs!), we eventually look like pro paddlers after the first rest stop.

It was a fun and, more so, calming activity. After enjoying the sunset, the Glow session added some additional aesthetics to Instagrammable photos. With the Glow session also, you will be able to see clearly the corals in the ocean with the LED lights they strap onto the paddling board. All in all, the experience took about 3 ½ hours.
