Nanamun is known for the mangrove boat tour and is about 20km away from Kota Belud town. Many day tour packages will usually bring visitors to the nearby beach for short sightseeing before embarking on the sought after river cruise. The Nanamun beach has been gaining more attention lately since it added more attractions like ATV ride, small resorts and restaurants.
Enjoy a scenic view when you ride the sunset river cruise along the Nanamun River, see the Proboscis Monkeys lounging on top of the trees, and enjoy the beauty of fireflies at night. A sight that many compared it to the glittering sight of Christmas lights.
Visitors can either book their river cruise trip with pick-up from Kota Kinabalu town or self-drive 1.5hrs to Kota Belud. For pick-up service, this tour usually starts at 1.00 pm and returning back to the town around 9.00 pm while the actual river cruise tour usually starts at 4.30pm when the Proboscis Monkeys are most active and the sun is slowly setting.
