Sandakan was formerly known as ‘Elopura’ and is also the second-largest town in Sabah. Known as the nature city, Sandakan visitors will have the opportunities to explore wildlife sanctuaries and discovery centers. The city is also famous for its wide range of fresh and delicious seafood. Back in the days, Sandakan was also known as Sabah’s very own ‘Little Hong-Kong’ due to a large amount of Chinese Migration from Hong Kong. It is also the gateway, to the Lower Kinabatangan, renown for the wildlife river safari.
