SABAH MEANS BUSINESS AT ITB ASIA 2022

Sabah Tourism Board is on a business rendezvous at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from the 19th to 21st October 2022 attending the 15th ITB Asia, one of the biggest travel trade show in Asia.

ITB Asia is an annual B2B trade show and convention, designed to be the primary event for the Asia Pacific travel industry, much like its parent event – ITB Berlin.

During the 3 days meet, STB has secured 34 appointments with travel related industry around Asia. And expecting more businesses to come and secure appointments during the duration of the travel trade show.

Sabah Tourism is highlighting Sabah as a preferred Business Event destination in this year’s ITB Asia, with the aim to encourage more international and national conferences, meetings, expos and events to be held Sabah.

“To encourage more business events in Sabah, STB is giving financial incentive to national and international companies who fit the criteria and successfully holding their events here” said Ms Tay Shu Lan, the Chief Marketing Officer of Sabah Tourism Board.

Earlier this year, Sabah has hosted the 2nd Asia Park Congress in which garners over 1200 participants from all over the world in May 2022. Towards the end of the year Sabah will be hosting the World Tourism Conference that is expected to receive 700 participants to the events that will run from 28th to 30th November 2022.

During ITB Asia, Sabah Tourism is also there to introduce the Community Based Tourism to visiting prospects as well as reconnecting with the travel trade people after 2 years due to the global pandemic situation.
